First Spark Engineering Ltd. provides STEAM enrichment opportunities for elementary-aged students.

An inspiring place for children to dream, innovate, collaborate, design and build.

After School STEAM Clubs ~ 2026-2027 School Year

Offering enrichment opportunities after school from 2:35 to 4:00.

Club sessions span the school year. Students will explore science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) through activities involving: Newton's Laws of Motion, electronics, circuitry, and robotics. They will collaborate to design solutions to STEAM challenges, and explore the engineering design process while learning about and creating solutions to real-world challenges.

I have 16 years teaching experience and a passion for STEAM. Exploring STEAM concepts with students is something I always worked to incorporate into aspects of teaching when I worked for Jefferson County Public Schools as a learning specialist, classroom teacher, instructional coach and technology lead. I strongly believe that the scientific and engineering design processes are key to fostering the critical thinking skills, growth mindset, and collaboration students need.
